Every year the Christmas Market in Aachen attracts visitors from the
whole world of Germany, and abroad to take part in the Christmas Celebrations
in the historic part of Aachen. Around the cathedral and the town hall
you can find numerous booths offering crafts, gifts and various tidbits.
The Christmas markets in Hamburg start four weeks before Christmas.
There are several in the city center of Hamburg, (Rathaumarkt, Gänsemarkt,
Gerhard-Hauptmann-Platz, Nikolai Kirche), and some in other parts of
Hamburg (Bergedorf, Harburg ...). The Christmas Markets are open every
day from approximately 10a.m. to 8p.m.
The Christmas Market will run from November 28 through December 23,
2001. It is located on the University Square, the Corn Market and the
Munich's traditional Christmas Market on Marienplatz. A huge Christmas
tree decorated with lights, towers above the yuletide magic of the stalls
and stands. Every day Advent music is played on the balcony of the Town
